Serving the Allston and Brighton
Community Since 1976
Our HistoryIn 1972 community residents formally met to devise plans for an agency which would provide educational, cultural, social, recreational, and community services to the diverse residents of Allston/ Brighton. Four years later, in 1976, the Jackson Mann Community Center and Council Inc., a duly certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was incorporated to meet these human service needs.
Over forty years after our incorporation, we are committed to practice and carry out our goal of providing educational, cultural, social, recreational, and community services to the diverse residents of Allston/Brighton. We continue to practice this philosophy because "it is we, the community, who must demand, direct, develop, and determine what the community will be." Benefits to Membership
